Second Grade News

Well, we certainly had a wonderful time on Thursday! Thanks to all of our drivers for a safe trip, and to all of our chaperones for their watchful eyes!  Keep in mind that the OSC has a new Titanic exhibit as well as a Norman Rockwell for the summer! What a great place to spend a hot afternoon.

The dinosaur posters were fantastic!!!!! Great work, everyone!

Remember, your paper bag book reports are due May 30^th!  We’ll "present" them to the class next!

Our bee cards have been batched & will come home this week. Wow! What a great project! Thanks to all of those moms who helped out!

Next week will be great fun.  We will have a vocabulary bee, a spelling bee and a math facts bee. I would like to have a time each day for board games from home.  Your child may bring in a game that he/she knows how to play…a game for at least 4 players.  We will learn and enjoy a new game each day.

• Numbers 4, 8, 12 ,16, 20 ,24 ,28 will bring in their games on Monday.

• Numbers 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, 23, 27 will bring in their games on Tuesday.

• Numbers 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26 will bring in their games on Wednesday.

• Numbers 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25 will bring in their games on Thursday.

I can’t believe that we have just next week left to this fabulous Second Grade year. You know the saying, "Time flies…". Well, it certainly has flown by for me. The children were a delight!
