Kindergarten News

June 3, 2008

Dear Parents,

Wow! What a great year we have had in the Kindergarten.  Your children are all so wonderful, with many special talents, and it has been our pleasure to be their teacher.  Thank you, everyone, for your love and support throughout the school year.

Over the summer, please continue reading and reviewing math with your child. Talk about beginning and ending sounds, words with short vowel sounds and words with blends.  Keep reviewing high frequency words. Let them review coins by counting the change after a “slurpie”, do simple addition and subtraction problems, etc.  To keep up with writing skills, have them write a few sentences about what they may have done that day.  Remember, you are your child’s first and best teacherJ

We wish you all a very happy, relaxed and safe summer.

           Fondly,

         Yvonne and Dawn
