Dear Seventh Grade Parents,
The class has been very busy working on their "Country Projects". For the past few months, the students have been researching various aspects of selected countries. The results are books of information about the geography, economy, history, and culture of many countries.
The culminating event is a "Country Day’. We have invited the third grade to visit our booths. The students will sample foods, hear music, learn a few words in a foreign language, gain knowledge of the country, and enjoy games. It should be a wonderful morning.
The date is Thursday, April 17. We will be in the social hall from 9:45 until 11:20. Please feel free to stop by and visit. I know that many of you will be helping your son or daughter to cook. I thank you in advance for your help and involvement and I appreciate your part in making social studies come alive.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I could use a few parents to help facilitate this affair. Please let me know if you can help.
Sincerely,
Lizanne Swaringen
